Instratek's® Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release (ECTR) System was designed to facilitate a reproducible, safe and effective decompression of the median nerve by dividing the transverse carpal ligament (TCL). Carpal tunnel syndrome is a painful and disabling disorder and studies have concluded that 98% of non-operative treatment modalities fail. In contrast a recent study of 14,722 patients confirmed a 97% success rate using the Instratek® ECTR with no iatrogenic neurovascular injuries. Our bi-portal system includes procedure specific instrumentation to assist in precise placement of the cannula beneath the TCL providing full endoscopic visualization prior to division.
