The Instratek MABS™ is a next generation soft tissue reconstruction system offering surgeons the ability to address larger intermetatarsal angles with and without the need for a traditional osteotomy. This advanced technique assists with the correction of Hallux Valgus deformities by providing secure reduction of the 1st intermetatarsal angle in patients who have a flexible or reducible deformity. The technique is used in conjunction with a traditional release of the lateral MPJ capsular structures and removal of the medial eminence. MABS™ is indicated for reducible 1st intermetatarsal angles focusing on the mild to moderate Hallux Valgus deformities <16 degrees.
